PT-141
Product Overview
PT-141 (Bremelanotide)
Format: Vial | Amount: 10mg | Price: €43.90
Overview:
PT-141, also known as Bremelanotide, is a synthetic melanocortin receptor agonist derived from Melanotan II. Unlike its predecessor, PT-141 does not act on pigmentation pathways. Instead, it selectively targets melanocortin receptor subtypes, specifically MC3R and MC4R, involved in autonomic and reproductive axis signalling via the central nervous system.
This distinct and focused receptor profile makes it a relevant compound for neuroendocrine and CNS pathway research.
Research Applications:
- Studying melanocortin receptor subtypes MC3R and MC4R and their role in reproductive axis signalling
- Investigating CNS-mediated autonomic responses via selective melanocortin pathway activation
- Examining the structural and functional differences between PT-141 and Melanotan II in controlled models
- Research into neuroendocrine signalling pathways that operate independently of the vascular system
Commonly Paired With:
Frequently studied alongside Melanotan II in comparative melanocortin receptor research protocols. Bacteriostatic Water required for reconstitution, available separately.
Storage & Handling:
Store lyophilised peptide at -20°C. Once reconstituted, store at 2°C–8°C and use within 28 days. Handle in a sterile environment. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
Regulatory Notice:
